Tivamex & Co.Holding
In 1884 Ivan Tenev Keleshev, a citizen of Chirpan, constructed a flour mill in the Bash Chadata Place with two milling stones driven by horses. In 1908 the flour mill was shifted next to the Plovdiv-Stara Zagora railway which was rapidly being constructed and started intensive modernization in the years to come. In 1912 two rolls were purchased; in 1918 one more roll and a steam machine, that is, horse drive was replaced by steam power; in 1920 a railway branch was constructed and by 1928 the rolls were already eight.

The nationalization in 1947 gave the start to a new reconstruction and modernization: In 1948 – electrification; in 1951 – 1300 tonnage silos; in 1953 – extension of the railway branch; in 1957 – grain storages in the villages of Svoboda and Orizovo; in 1958-59 full modernization; in 1967-68 a 10 000 tonnage silo and finally in 1979 there were 10 rolls and production capacity of 150 t of wheat per 24 hours.

At the beginning of 2001 Parvi May flour mill was privatized and its owner is the company Imvest & Co Ltd., city of Yambol.

The mill produces the best flour in Southern Bulgaria and slowly, but tenaciously recovers its position lost in the market in the recent years relying on the quality and pure natural product (wheat flour type 500, type 700, type 1150 and wheat grits) produced.

The production technology employed in Parvi May flour mill is at a high professional level and quality is not artificially improved. The mill strategy is based on the correct selection and processing of the raw product, and not the use of chemical ingredients as improving agents.

Tsvyatko Tsvetkov is the company managing director.
